READ THIS IF YOU HAVE IBS, IBD, OR DIARRHEA

If you suffer with IBS, IBD, or diarrhea, here's two simple things you can do to help you make it to the toilet.

First thing to do is slow your breathing down and have a few slow deep breaths. What this does is get your body out of flight or fight mode and gets it in rest & digest mode. I learnt this from a practitioner who also had ulcerative colitis 12 years ago.

The reason why it works is because we can get so wrapped up in our head that we forget to breathe. I was very guilty of that. When I slowed down my breathing, it really calmed me down.

Second thing to do is do a pelvic floor squeeze. You tense the muscle in your pelvic floor and that helps your internal muscles to help the stool higher up in your colon so it bides your a bit more time.
