Are you straining every time you have a bowel movement?
If you are struggling to get your stool out, the best thing you can do is raise your knees up! It relaxes your sphincter muscle by getting your body into it’s natural squatting position.
When you get your body in a natural squatting position with your knees elevated, this straightens the last part of your intestines to allow a smooth flow out.
So if you're struggling and straining when you go to the toilet, you need to either:
- invest in a toilet stool, or
- pile some books up 📚
Then when you're in natural squatting position can also have deep belly breaths. This will also help to get the stool out of you and get that flow back into your body.
