The ensure drinks they give you at the hospitals contain the two most inflammatory foods!

When I was 22, I got rushed to a hospital with inflammatory bowel disease due to an emergency. The nutritionist came across to me and said “You need to go on a liquid diet” (cause then you haven't got the food passing through your intestines and aggravating it).

They showed me the liquid diet drinks and it was called “ensure”. It contained the following:

1. Hydrogenated vegetable oils
2. Sugars
3. Synthetic vitamins

I said to the lady, “There's no way I'm putting these hydrogenated vegetable oils in my body because they are pro-inflammatory". They are the unhealthiest fats and they create inflammation and that's exactly what we're trying to get rid of!

It also has sugar to boost the calories and I guess for carbs; however sugars also create inflammation as well, especially with in a person with ‘bad guts’.

Ensure drinks just are not the best thing option. YES, certain liquid diets can be beneficial. I actually went onto my own non-inflammatory liquid diet. A raw milk diet - raw milk, whey protein, and lots of other added powdered nutrients to help me get by - it was the best of a bad situation!

Since then, thankfully! I found out that you don't even need to go on a liquid diet at all - there are other ways. I found that I could do it with the right guidance and specific herbs.
